24 Nutter Butter Sandwich Cookies
5 tablespoons melted butter
1 8 oz. package Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 8 oz. Cool Whip -- thawed out
Crush cookies. Mix cookie crumbs and butter. Press into bottom and sides of 9" pie plate. Mix cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar, vanilla with mixer. Gently stir in 1 1/2 cups of whipped topping. Spoon into crust. Freeze for four hours. Let stand 1/2 hour or until pie can be cut easily.
I think this recipe needs a chocolate layer on top to be a true Reeces pie. I tried the sauce that came with the recipe but thought it was too runny. I'm going to just melt some chocolate chips to spread on the top.
