Here's the recipe to the cake that was served at the Relief Society Meeting this week. Thanks Sarah for filling in for me and making it! It was delicious!
Chocolate Lovers’ Favorite Cake
1 package devil’s food cake mix
1 (3 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
2 C sour cream
1 cup melted butter
5 eggs
1 t almond extract
2 C semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350. Spray with Pam 10 inch Bundt pan.
In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and pudding mix.
Add sour cream, melted butter, eggs and almond extract.
Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl and beat 4 minutes on medium speed.
Blend in chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared Bundt pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 – 55 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire rack and cool completely.
Chocolate Glaze
1 C semisweet chocolate chips
4 T butter
2 T corn syrup
Put chocolate chips and butter in glass measuring cup and put in microwave for 1 minute or until melted. Don’t over cook. Add corn syrup and mix until well blended, smooth and glossy. Drip over cooled Bundt cake. The cooler the glaze the thicker it will get.
